Scholarships

Education is the foundation of everything we hold dear.  Without it, there would be no new inventions. No doctors to heal us.  No businesses that create jobs and innovate how we live.  No rover exploring Mars.  The building blocks of education make all human achievement and prosperity possible.

Establishing scholarships is at the heart of the University's strategic plan, Never Settle. It would help to reduce the student's financial burdens, freeing up valuable time to focus on their studies and fieldwork.  The richer their experiences now, the more they'll impact education in the future!

With your philanthropy, the College of Education is able to award scholarships to its undergraduate, postbaccalaureate and graduate students. Many of our scholarships are established by donors who advocate for education and have established criteria for a student to be selected as a scholarship recipient.

If you wish to donate to a scholarship, you will find all you need in our Giving section.

Types of scholarships

Merit-based — to attract and retain students of exceptional academic quality
Need-based — for students who demonstrate great financial need (FAFSA required)

For additional information on the FAFSA and deadlines, please contact the UA Office of Student Financial Aid.

College of Education Scholarships for each academic year will be available through Scholarship Universe. All currently enrolled College of Education graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Newly admitted graduate students who have a UA NetID may also apply.

The scholarship process is highly competitive and is limited to students who have been admitted into a College of Education program. Students from other colleges are not eligible. A student may meet all scholarship criteria and still not receive a scholarship due to the number of competitive applications received.

The University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected category.
