There are plenty of ways to engage in your community. Option 1: Check with your advisor to find organizations that would compliment your interests. Requirements for internships vary by college; check the links below for more information about getting internship credit through your college. Option 2: Go to ASUA's Volunteer UA be paired with an organization.

Here are a few basic responsibilities of volunteers at each level; however, the responsibilities of any volunteer or intern will vary depending on the organization's requirements.
Entry Level Volunteer Leadership Volunteer Intern
Work with K-8 students
Filing forms/reports relevant to the student that was mentored
Participate in team building activities
Lead/teach learning activities to students
Oversee a team of entry-level volunteers
Plan entry-level volunteer activities
Manage entry-level volunteers
Help recruit new volunteers
Coordinate lessons and activities
Design new learning activities
Manage a program/project
Manage entry-level volunteers
Coordinate and plan daily activities
Record/document all program initiatives and products
Provide feedback and guidance to other volunteers
Mentor entry-level volunteers
