Teach Arizona - Pinal County

Pinal County Cohort:

Only residents of Pinal County may apply to the Teach Arizona online program of study.

The course titles and content for the online program will be the same as the traditional face to face program but the timeframe and sequencing may be changed to better accommodate online instruction.  While students will have some freedom to select the time of day or days of the week they work on assignments, the following requirements are fixed:

  • ·         All Teach Arizona students attend half-day field internship/student teaching every week day during the fall and spring semesters.
  • ·         There will be mandatory face to face meetings held one Saturday each month during the fall and spring semesters (see below).
  • ·         Courses in the program of study will be offered during specific timeframes and assignments will have fixed deadlines.

Pinal County students will enjoy the benefits of a cohort program by attending mandatory monthly face to face meetings where they can discuss teaching experiences and reinforce concepts learned throughout their coursework. These meetings will be held at a convenient location (TBD) in Pinal County on one Saturday each month during the fall and spring semesters. The exact dates and times have not yet been determined.

In addition to the admission criteria for all Teach Arizona students, Pinal County applicants will be required to have access to a computer with a high speed internet connection.
