We are each affected by water supply issues. Scientists use immense datasets to develop computational models to explain what is happening and to develop solutions. To address these problems, the general public needs a level of environmental science literacy. This video on CompHydro is a submisstion to an annual video showcase, funded by NSF to improve STEM learning and teaching. In it,  Associate Professor Gunckel demonstrates and explains the innovative high school curriculum around water issues and increasing environmental science literacy. You'll see students acting out models to understand the complex data around water issues such as contamination, flooding, or drought. These lessons have been contextualized to the local environment for teachers in Maryland, Arizona, Montana and Colorado. After you check out that video, if it resonated with you we'd love for you to vote for it. ( Create and account on the stem video  showcase site to cast a vote.)
