The College of Education strives to prepare exceptional teachers, educators, policy makers and research scholars who will transform education and inspire future generations. Imagine a society without teachers; how would we learn? Education is the foundation of everything we hold dear. Without it, there would be no new inventions; no doctors to heal us; no businesses to create jobs. The building blocks of education make all human achievement and prosperity possible.
Students who choose careers in education face major challenges financing college knowing that the earning potential is low compared to other professions. Many of our students have high financial need, 65% of our undergraduate students receive Pell grants.
Due to the generosity of donors, this year the College of Education awarded 350 scholarships for a total of $542,000. Scholarships relieve our students of financial burdens, allowing them to focus on their studies and gain experience through student teaching, internships and research opportunities.
The College of Education offers a number of merit-based and need-based scholarships. By supporting this fund, you are helping us offer more scholarships this year!

ATF is a merit-based scholarship program that is offered to selected undergraduates and graduate students who are committed to pursuing teaching careers in Arizona, with strong preference given to Southern Arizona school districts in the Greater Tucson Area. Scholarship awards are $2,000 per Fellow. To honor or memorialize a loved one on an endowment basis, a gift of $53,200 will generate $2,000 annually to sustain a Fellow in perpetuity.
