MASTER-IP PROGRAM INFORMATION FOR 2013

MASTER-IP Logo

The MASTER-IP Program integrates paid summer internships in local businesses around Arizona together with focused professional development activities.  These activities are based on the STEM disciplines as well as teacher education & training.  The MASTER-IP Program focuses on guiding teachers to effectively bring their real world experiences into classrooms while building in-depth and practical knowledge of the workplace, and is open to all Arizona STEM teachers. Furthermore, through a generous matching funds grant from Science Foundation Arizona, we have been able to offer substantial tuition remissions since the start of the program.

Teachers learn from immersion in industrial internships and gain from their exposure to these organizations. In return, companies directly benefit from the skills and knowledge teachers bring to their workforce each summer.

See a 30-minute video about UA programs in Chandler, here. Dean Marx describes how our courses work in our different locations, and talks about some of our teachers as well.
