MASTER-IP PROGRAM

The Math & Science Teacher Education/Retention Industry Partnerships (MASTER-IP) Program is a program especially designed for middle- and high-school STEM Teachers.  MASTER-IP is a collaboration between the University of Arizona College of Education and Tucson Values Teachers, a nonprofit founded by the Southern Arizona Leadership council. We also collaborate with Arizona businesses as well as public, private, and charter schools.  The program fosters a unique connection between the workforce and the classroom by giving teachers internship opportunities in businesses during the summer. Businesses gain from the professionalism and expertise of a teacher, and teachers bring their real-world internship experiences back to students.

The MASTER-IP Program is expanding our outreach to reach from Cochise County through Maricopa County.  Beginning in May 2012, we will have offices and classrooms in Chandler as well as Tucson.  To enhance our accessibility to teachers in rural areas, we are expanding our technologies to allow remote access to coursework, and as well are actively recruiting companies in those areas.

Whether you represent a business, or are a teacher, this program has benefits for you, our schools and students,  communities, and our state.

Thanks - and please contact us for any questions you might have!
