Teacher Day at UA 2013
The Third Annual Teacher Day at UA was a huge success! We had over 450 pre-registrants and many more day of attendees! A big thank you goes out to Tucson Values Teachers, all our sponsors, our UA Expo (over 30) participants, and all of the volunteers that helped to make this day possible. And of course thank you to all the teachers whose presence made the day such a success! It was great to see so many educators from the community partake in the event. As this event has grown so has our need for space and we are proud to announce that next year the Student Union will also host some of the events. So get ready for next year and in the meantime enjoy your summer!
A special thank you goes out to our Professional Development presenters! PD activities addressed a variety of topics including how to use the Common Core standards for Math and English/Language Arts as well as services and resources offered by: the new UA STEM Learning Center, PBS learning Media, Worlds of Words, Arizona State Museum, Pima Regional Support Center, Arts Integrated Solutions, and Arizona K-12 Center.
