Current Research

Professor Anders’ research interests focus on the relationship of teacher’s beliefs, theories and practices in the context of literacy instruction and content area literacy.  She has co-directed research projects oriented toward the teaching of literacy across the curriculum and has investigated the relationship of teachers’ beliefs and theories about the teaching of reading and their practices.  An emerging interest, is in adult and community literacy.
