David L. Wodrich (PhD, Arizona State University) is Professor of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies, in the College of Education. He teaches and mentors students in the University of Arizona’s APA-accredited school psychology program. His research concerns the effect of chronic illness on school success, as well as related research addressing the neurosciences and student learning. Dr. Wodrich, a former Director of Psychology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH), maintains collaborative relationships with subspecialty physicians at numerous PCH clinics. With his students and physician collaborators, he routinely publishes in educational psychology, school psychology, and medical journals. Dr. Wodrich is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied School Psychology, former president of the American Board of School Psychology, the Arizona Psychological Association, and AERA’s Brain, Neurosciences, and Education SIG. He is also a fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 16). Dr. Wodrich is a licensed psychologist (AZ), a certified school psychologist (AZ), and holds the American Board of Professional Psychology’s diplomate status, indicating advanced practice competence in school psychology.
