Current Research

My current research includes several studies related to disability discrimination in employment. Data is analyzed and I am working on three studies related to disability harassment that focus on a) complainant characteristics b) respondent (employer) characteristics and c) the interaction of membership in multiple protected categories in disability harassment complaints.

I have just obtained a dataset collected by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE)and will begin to analyze the data for a quantative study examining rehabilitation counselor rationales for establishing specific supervision and advisement criteria in accreditation requirements. This study addresses the lack of an empirical basis for accreditation criteria and provides qualitative data both in support and opposed to current standards established by CORE.

Data analysis is complete on a study examining the relationship between the ethical climate of rehabilitation counseling workplaces and the ethical challenges that counselors report. I am also beginning to work on a theoretical article examining the process of making ethical adaptations to the workplace.
