Student Services

Student Services, located in the College of Education, 2nd floor  (the southwest corner of the building), is the first stop for any undergraduate student who wants to learn more about the College's programs and opportunities. We provide academic advising to current and prospective College of Education undergraduate students, manage the college's admissions process, and coordinate college events, such as freshman orientation, the New Candidate Reception, and the Teacher Career Fair.

Here are just a few of the services and resources we provide:

  • Academic advising to current pre-education, early childhood education, elementary education, special education undergraduates, postbaccalaureate, and Teach Arizona master's program students
  • The College of Education no longer offers an undergraduate secondary education program. If you would like to teach a content area in middle or high school click here for information on our Teach Arizona master's program
  • Information about the College of Education’s undergraduate major and minor programs to current and prospective students, including high school and transfer students
  • Coordinate the College of Education's undergraduate admission process
  • Information on becoming certified to teach in Arizona, including information on the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessments (AEPA) and fingerprint clearance
  • Planning programs, such as the orientation program for new education majors, AEPA practice tests, Certification Day, Freshman Orientation College Meetings, Teacher Career Day, and the New Teacher Candidate Reception
  • Information on gaining experience working with children and on available teaching positions

The Office of Student Services has a lounge, complete with Internet access and a courtesy phone, for students to relax in between classes.
